It's been so long since I've written in this thing. Short, meaningless blurbs have been posted at times, but an entry? Damn, I didn't think I'd ever come back.
Family Video and I missed each other. Gosh, I'm so terribly glad to be back there. Sure, customers can be giant walking assholes at times... and working till 1230 every night does get kinda old... I'd rather be there 40 hours a week than wasting away at a desk from IKEA. Plus, I get free movies. Heh.
A number of different things have happened in the past few months to really make me wonder why I'm still in Flint. Other than a handful of good in my life, the rest of it's shit. I just turned 21, but I lost my car. I moved into a nice big house to party in, but I lost all my friends. My job is awesome, but I lost quite a bit of pay. It's strange how it all works out. One of these days, I'm going to snap and move Speak, Mr. Pants, and I somewhere random.
But first things, first... MONEY. |

That's right, at the end of this month, I will be conquering Cedar Point yet again. In all my adventures to that magical place, this trip will be the first time I'll be traveling with friends.

Overall the stay in my uncle's cabin was nice. Sure, I got lost on the way there. Sure, I managed to get pulled over for having a cracked windshield (got a ticket, too). And sure, the 1.5 hour trip home turned into a 4 hour long trip from hell (getting severely lost).
But hey. Riggs had a great time and the cabin was beautiful.
Sadly, I missed out on the last offical party at the Road House. I'm going to miss all of you guys. I'm sure we'll see each other.. but now it's a drive instead of a hop, skip, & jump.
Now excuse me while I plop my ass down in front of the TV and eat an entire bag of Doritos.

The other day, I was walking into Kessel's talking to Adam via cell phone. I was complaining about how bad my legs hurts after an hours worth of kick boxing. Right after I said that, a thuggish white boy looks at me and says, "Yeah, well you look drunk, too."
So now when I walk, I get really self conscious. Do I walk like a drunk? Thanks Mr. White Trash. Thank you so very much.

Everything seems so much better when you can zone out all that ails you. Five day work week? Seems like a mere three. Gotta wash your clothes? Throw them all into a 75 lbs. washer and do a few crossword puzzles. Being alone, zoning out... clearing your head... three things that make living life a heck of a lot more tolerable. My rose-colored glasses have been kicked off my face, broken into a dozen pieces and swept under the rug. Life couldn't be better.

If I had to rate this weekend on a scale from 1-10, I'd give it a generous 8. Sure, my St. Patrick's Day was a little too sober for my liking, but other than the four hours I sat alone with crayons and ice cream, there was nothing to complain about. Adam and I even spent time talking and learning more about each other. That's right- after two years he finally knows my favorite flower. Yikes.
Sunday was HEYLETSSPENDMONEY day and we figured Best Buy was the place to do it. We walked out with a new computer mouse (that baby pin points like a charm) and a couple of necessary movies for our collection. Casino Royale (now owning every Bond movie every made), Ace Venture Pet Detective (come on, that shit was only $5), and the best purchase of the year- Robin Hood: Men in Tights. No one can argue the fact that it is one of the greatest movies ever made. And Carey Elwes is one sexy bitch.
Anyone want to see Adam break a jaw from someones skull? No? Hm, well, I know I'll be there.

For the past two weeks straight, I've been happy. And this week in particular has been most splendid. Honestly, I cannot remember the last time there has been such a joyous streak in my life. Not sure what sparked it, not sure how long it'll stay- either way, I'm glad its here.
Now I just have to adjust to living with one other person and an extra dog. |
